In the world of entertainment, it’s become clear that some celebrities tend to look too much alike. For instance, there’s been some confusion between Mark Wahlberg and Matt Damon over the years. Fans were similarly shocked to learn that a TikTok star looks like an exact clone of Jennifer Aniston. On the other hand, there’s also that persistent rumor that Avril Lavigne was replaced by a look-alike (that, of course, is absolutely not true).RELATED: Everything Owen Wilson's Ex Has Said About Him (And Their Daughter)At the same time, fans have noticed the resemblance between veteran actors Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson, so much so that they believe the men are each other’s doppelgängers. This especially became evident after the two Hollywood stars shared the big screen a couple of times together, forming just as tight a bromance as Woody and his other best bud Matthew Mcconaughey. And now, some are even under the impression that Wilson and Harrelson are related somehow.

Owen Wilson And Woody Harrelson Have Done Two Films Together So Far

Having been working actors in Hollywood for years, Wilson and Harrelson are bound to collaborate at some point. Their first collaboration the 2013 animated comedy Free Birds. And for their co-star (and fellow comedian) Amy Poehler, there was no one better to play two turkey buddies these real-life friends.

“It’s like a buddy comedy with the two of them,” the actress remarked. “And their chemistry is really natural. I knew that everyone would buy that they would be friends like they are in life.” The film’s director, Jimmy Hayward, added that both are “such great actors.”

A few years later, Harrelson tapped Wilson to star in his directorial debut, Lost in London. The film is highly personal for Harrelson as it revisits the time when he got arrested in London after he physically damaged a cab that was taking him back to his hotel after spending time in the nightclub China White. In the end, Harrelson managed to avoid getting charged. That said, he has been reflecting on that incident since. Hence, the film.

Lost in London is also highly ambitious, with Harrelson choosing to stream the footage live as it was shot. This meant that everything had to be done in a single take and there was a time that Harrelson himself thought they couldn’t pull it off. Thankfully, Wilson was there to rally around his friend.

“There was one point when the obstacles seemed insurmountable,” Harrelson recalled while speaking with The Guardian. “I decided we wouldn’t go live after all but it was Owen who said, ‘Duuude, why wouldn’t you? It was a great idea! Get back to that.’”

Despite their uncanny resemblance, Wilson and Harrelson are absolutely not related. That said, there’s no denying that the two veteran actors are very good friends. Not to mention, they’re also neighbors with both having homes in Maui.

In fact, during a conversation between the two men for Interview, Wilson asked Harrelson where he was and Harrelson jokingly remarked, “I’m at your house.” Soon after though, the Zombieland star clarified, “No, I’m up in my house.”

Wilson’s tropical residence is said to be a bungalow home that sits on a 4,000-square foot property. Harrelson’s property reportedly covers 8.5 acres of secluded land. It sits near the crescent-shaped Hamoa Beach.

It’s also worth noting that the two stars have become business partners outside of Hollywood. Back in 2013, it was announced that Harrelson and Wilson decided to back up the Australia tech start-up Canva. “Canva is on fire. This could be a game-changer,” Wilson even said in a statement. “Five million users in just over two years, the numbers speak for themselves. Great investment and top-notch team.”

More recently, Wilson and Harrelson (along with Harrelson’s wife, Laura) teamed up again for another venture. This time, they entered the Series A round of funding for the plant-based meat company Abbot’s Butcher.

Harrelson has been a longtime supporter of plant-based nutrition, having been a vegan for over 30 years. And the actor believes the diet has helped him sustain a high energy level.

“I eat vegan, but I eat mostly raw. If I have a cooked meal, I feel my energy drop,” he explained while promoting Solo: A Star Wars Story. “So when I first started shifting my diet, it wasn’t as much a moral or an ethical pursuit but an energetic pursuit.”

On the other hand, it doesn’t seem like Wilson has gone completely vegan too. That said, the actor has admired Harrelson’s commitment to a plant-based lifestyle.

“You are committed, and you eat very healthy,” Wilson told his friend while doing an interview together. “And although I’m not vegetarian, I have learned from you guys some great stuff, and I do eat healthier.” Looks like Harrelson has been quite the healthy influence on his longtime friend.

To be clear, Harrelson and Wilson are absolutely not related. They are, however, as close as brothers can be.
